Lombard's Bridge II-XVIII Metal Print
Lombard's Bridge II-XVIII. This photography shows the "new" version of this bridge as it wasn't until 1868 that it replaced its wood-build predecessor - in part to later on accommodate the expansion of the railway and to serve as a stop for inner city passenger ships. The writing above the gate on the right reads "Steam Boat Waiting Room". (Historic photography by Uwe M. Horstmann.)
